The Crow and the Jug of Water
A crow wants a drink. He looks here and there and sees a jug of water. But the water is too low in the jug.
"What shall I do?" says the crow. "The water is too low in the jug."
Then the crow hops away. He looks here and there and finds a little stone.
He takes the stone up in his beak and drops it into the jug of water.
Then he finds another little stone, and drops it into the water too.
Then he finds another stone, and another, and he drops them into the water.
Now the water is high in the jug, and the crow can drink.
